Barn built by Ben C. Unruh
This barn, built by Ben C. Unruh early in the 20th century on his estate just north of Pawnee Rock's city limit and just south of Pawnee Rock State Park, is a fine example of Kansas' utilitarian architecture. The barn was originally wood sided and later covered with galvanized metal; a bit of it peeks out behind the house in the lower photo. (Don Ross provided the photo of the house.)
